On February 11, the Faculty of Economics and Management at the Czech University of Life Sciences commemorated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, which was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 with the aim of highlighting the importance of the full and equal participation of women and girls in science, technology, and innovation. On this occasion, the Dean highlighted the significance of this day and thanked selected female researchers from the FEM-CZU for their work. The recognition was awarded to authors and co-authors of scientific articles published in journals indexed in the Web of Science (WoS) database in 2025 and classified in the Q1 and Q2 quartiles according to the AIS indicator. Scientific journals belonging to the Q1 and Q2 quartiles are considered indicators of quality and international visibility of scientific output. The selected criteria were met by Prof. Lucie Severová, Assoc. Prof. Marie Prášilová, Assoc. Prof. Zdeňka Žáková Kroupová, Assoc. Prof. Zuzana Smeets Křístková, Assoc. Prof. Lenka Rumánková, Assoc. Prof. Irena Benešová, Assoc. Prof. Daniela Šálková, Dr. Renata Aulová, Dr. Adéla Hamplová, Dr. Jana Kholová, Dr. Radka Procházková, and Ing. Tereza Guthová. Ing. Klára Bartoňová also received an award for exceptional activities in science.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, with personal expressions of gratitude for specific publication achievements as well as for the long-term, systematic work that contributes to the advancement of science and research at the faculty. The dean also emphasized the faculty’s commitment to creating a stable and supportive environment for the professional growth of talented female researchers and to encouraging their involvement in cutting-edge research.
During the event, female researchers from the FEM CZU were honored for their publishing and research activities, which span a wide range of fields—from economics, statistics, and the social sciences to environmental sciences and artificial intelligence research.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the award recipients and wish all female researchers at the FEM every success in their future scientific and research work
