From 10 to 14 August 2026, the FEM CZU welcomed former participants and coordinators of summer schools from The Ohio State University and the University of Missouri.

FEM CZU students took part in the TeachAVC 2026 international summer school in Tbilisi this July.

The international summer school organized under the FEM CZU AI Bridge initiative brought experts and students interested in the practical and responsible use of artificial intelligence to Prague.

From 6 to 10 July, the traditional ELLS Summer School took place, organised this year by SGGW.

From 29 June to 3 July 2026, the FEM at the CZU Prague hosted another edition of the EcoMod School of Modeling and Data Science, an international school focused on economic modelling.

The conference focused on the use of advanced methods in studying contemporary economic, environmental, and social aspects of agriculture, food systems, and rural development.

The Rector of CZU, Prof. PhDr. Michal Lošťák, Ph.D., received an honorary doctorate (Doctor honoris causa) from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.

On Monday, 15 June 2026, six recent graduates of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague received the Minister of Agriculture Award. The award is presented annually to the best student from each faculty for a master’s thesis with an exceptional contribution to practice in the fields of agriculture, forestry, food production and rural development. The award also includes a financial prize determined by the Ministry. The award ceremony traditionally takes place during the summer graduation ceremonies of the individual faculties.

Students of the Economics and Management programme represented FEM CZU at a CEEPUS seminar in Zagreb, where they worked in international teams.

As part of the Social and Solidarity Economy course, students swapped their textbooks for volunteer work and subsequently organized a food collection. 

The growing popularity of the CZU Athlete of the Year poll, which the university announces every year, is also reflected in the incredible number of 55 registered athletes. All of them can boast outstanding performances, so once again the jury did not have an easy decision to make. Given his performances last year and the honour he received from the President of the Czech Republic, sprint canoeist Josef Dostál was the clear favourite. He thus repeated last year’s triumph.

Against the backdrop of a ceremonially decorated auditorium at CZU, the inauguration of the university’s new rector, Professor Michal Lošťák, took place on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. Witnessing the occasion were the rectors of nineteen Czech universities, representatives of public and private institutions, members of the university’s academic community, and other distinguished guests. The inaugural act symbolically confirmed the rector´s appointment as head of CZU – a university with growing potential in fields of science connected to the challenges of the future.
