We connect the academic world with real business

The goal of the Centre of Innovation and Transfer Technologies (CITT) at the Faculty of Economics and Management is to expand and establish cooperation between commercial entities, organizations, institutions, and individuals (prominent experts, managers, graduates) with the faculty and the university.

The centre expands cooperation with partner entities, increases the share of excellent practitioners in teaching, educates students, supports graduates' employment in the labor market, and develops consulting and expert activities oriented towards practice. It organizes workshops focused on job opportunities, training, and lectures by leading practitioners.

What do we offer partners and companies?

The centre brings cooperation in the following key areas:

Innovation and technology transfer: We effectively transfer the latest scientific knowledge and research results directly into your company processes.
Strategic cooperation: We implement joint projects, oversee the conclusion of memoranda, and offer participation in partnership programs or sponsorship.
Talent management: We connect you with our students and graduates through professional and career counseling, giving you access to future leaders in the field.
Know-how sharing: We open the door to professional events, workshops, and interdisciplinary projects, where experts from practice meet with the academic community.

The centre cooperates closely with other FEM departments, such as the Marketing centre, the Project centre, the Department for Science, Research and Quality, and the Study Department. Thanks to this, it can offer companies comprehensive support in cooperation with the faculty.

Professional and Career Counseling

CITT also provides professional and career counseling. Its key component is the JOBS PEF portal, which provides students with job vacancies, part-time jobs, trainee programs, and internships.

The JOBS PEF portal is a platform for communication and a functional database of:

Business, institutional, interest, media, and other entities with the potential for successful cooperation,
important managers and experts from the fields of education, research, internationalization, public relations, economic benefits, etc.
activities to support teaching, graduate employment, professional counseling, connections to practice, and regions.

Professional Lectures

Professional lectures and workshops are one of the most effective ways for companies to reach future graduates directly during their studies. Not only will you help improve the quality of education, but you will also build a strong reputation among the best talent on the market.

Job Fair

The Faculty of Economics and Managements of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague organizes the Job Fair every year at the end of the winter semester – a one-day intensive workshop that has become a key meeting point for the world of business and academia.

The event takes place in the modern faculty premises, ensuring high student attendance across all years. As an exhibiting company, you will receive space for your stand, where you can showcase your corporate culture, offer job opportunities, and collect contacts for future colleagues.

Forms of application of results in practice
Cooperation with FEM can take various forms, depending on the development phase and the nature of the specific solution, e.g., a utility model, an industrial model, a prototype, a patent, a methodology, or a pilot plant.

Memoranda of cooperation: Formal basis of strategic partnership
Concluding a joint memorandum establishes an official framework for a deeper connection between your company and the Faculty of Economics and Management of CZU. This document is not just a formal act but an expression of mutual interest in fostering innovation, education, and knowledge transfer.

Contract research

This is custom development or analysis that the faculty carries out for you based on a clearly defined assignment. The results of such research are fully available to your company for immediate implementation.

Projects

The Faculty of Economics and Management at CZU has long been recognized as an active driver of applied research and development. Through the Centre for Innovation and Transfer Technologies (CITT), the faculty integrates its scientific capacities into national and international project schemes, thereby fulfilling its role as a key partner for the modern economy.

Innovation vouchers: FEM CZU is a registered provider of knowledge within the framework of subsidy programs focused on rapid technology transfer. In this way, the faculty conducts specialized analyses, measurements, and optimization studies for partners with minimal administrative burden.
Programs of TA CR (Technology Agency of the Czech Republic): The faculty is a successful solver and co-solver of complex projects in programs such as Trend, Théta, or Éta. It focuses mainly on connecting technological innovations with economic and social impacts.
Departmental and regional challenges: The faculty's professional departments participate in projects announced by ministries (MIT CR, MA CR, MRD CR) and regional governments (e.g., Prague vouchers), where they apply their specific knowledge in agribusiness, digitalization, and regional development.

Support for startups and spin-offs

The Faculty of Economics and Management systematically builds an environment that stimulates entrepreneurship and transforms innovative ideas into viable business models. Through CITT, the faculty provides methodological and institutional support for the creation of new business entities with the potential to deliver high-value solutions to the market.

Strategic forms of business support

The faculty focuses on two main lines of development of innovative business, which differ in their origin and the form of university involvement:

Academic spin-off companies: entities established for the commercial use of faculty intellectual property. In these cases, FEM CZU acts as a strategic partner, enabling the transfer of scientific results (e.g., software, methodologies, or technologies) to an independent market entity, while overseeing legal integrity and licensing conditions.
Student startups: The faculty actively supports students' entrepreneurial plans, including those of graduates and employees. The aim is to connect theoretical knowledge in management and IT with the real-world startup of a business.
