Think Together 2026: FEM Doctoral Students Shared Their Research at Round Tables

The Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) at the Czech University of Life Sciences (CZU) in Prague hosted the Think Together conference on September 17, 2026, which served as a successor to the Agrarian Perspectives and ERIE conferences. The conference is intended for doctoral students in all years of study at FEM. Its goal is to support their scientific and creative activities, provide a platform for presenting research results, and strengthen collaboration between doctoral students and research teams at the faculty.

The proceedings took place across four specialized sections focusing on Business and Sectoral Economics, Management, Regional and Social Development, and Systems Engineering and Informatics. The individual sections were guaranteed by prof. Ing. Lukáš Čechura, Ph.D., prof. Ing. Ivana Tichá, Ph.D., prof. Ing. Lukáš Zagata, Ph.D., prof. RNDr. Helena Brožová, CSc., doc. Ing. Jaroslav Husák, Ph.D., doc. Ing. Tatiana Guy, Ph.D., and doc. Ing. Mgr. Petr Wawrosz, Ph.D. This year, 65 papers were submitted to the peer-review process. The doctoral students presented various types of work, ranging from draft articles and literature reviews to manuscripts ready for journal submission, as well as articles already published in journals indexed in Web of Science or Scopus.

The core principle of the conference is its round-table format, which creates a space for open and constructive professional discussion regarding the doctoral students' research intentions. The specific structure of the individual sections was organized by their guarantors with respect to the conventions, character, and specifics of the respective scientific discipline. This made it possible to tailor the presentation style and academic discussions to the needs of the individual doctoral programs, creating an environment that optimally supported substantive feedback and the further development of the presented research. The authors introduced their research, research questions, methodological approaches, and the challenges they are currently facing within their topics. Section guarantors, reviewers, academic staff, and other doctoral students actively participated in the subsequent discussions.

Once again this year, Think Together demonstrated the significance of professional discussion, knowledge sharing, and collegial feedback as essential components of doctoral studies at FEM. We would like to thank all the doctoral students, reviewers, and section guarantors for their time, active participation, and professional contributions.
