Do you want to take your research to an international level, establish collaboration with American colleagues, or gain experience at a prestigious university in the USA? Applications are now open for the next cycle of the Fulbright Program.
The program offers Czech students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and university educators the opportunity to undertake a study or research stay in the USA while developing new contacts and long-term international collaboration.
For FEM CZU, the Fulbright Program is not just a future opportunity. The faculty already has experience with successful scholars whose stays have brought new professional contacts, experience, and opportunities for further international cooperation.
In 2023–2024, Prof. Ing. Mgr. Lukáš Zagata, Ph.D. completed a five-month stay as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Cornell University. Through his specialization, he contributes significantly to the development of teaching, science, and research in the field of regional and social development. His stay in the USA built upon FEM's long-term academic and international collaboration in regional and social development. Prof. Zagata is a member of the Department of Humanities at FEM CZU, guarantor of the Bachelor's degree program in Public Administration and Regional Development, member of the FEM Scientific Board, member of the FEM Advisory Panel for Science and Research, and Chairman of the CZU Ethics Committee.
Mgr. Milan Školník, Ph.D., is currently gaining experience through the Fulbright Program during a six-month stay at the University of Texas at Austin. His project, "AI and the Art of Governance: A Multi-Level Comparison of Lawmakers in Europe and the United States," focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and a comparison of lawmakers' approaches in Europe and the United States. Mgr. Školník is a member of the Department of Humanities at FEM CZU and a prominent expert commentator on social and political affairs, communicating expert insights from FEM and CZU to the public through the media.
