On March 18, 2026, the first meeting of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague was held in 2026.
The opening segment of the meeting was devoted to the announcement of the results of the competition for the Dean’s Award for the best publication by FEM doctoral students in 2025. The ranking of the winning entries was determined based on the percentile of the respective journal in its highest-ranked field according to the FORD classification, using the AIS (Article Influence Score) metric.
The final standings are as follows:
1st place: Ing. Karel Guth (Department of Economics) – Urban Affairs Review (Q1)
2nd place: Ing. Karel Alloh (Department of Business and Finance) – Current Issues in Tourism (Q1)
3rd place: Adéla Mráčková, M.Sc. (Department of Management and Marketing) – Challenges in Sustainability
4th place: Klára Bartoňová, M.Sc. (Department of Economics) – Czech Journal of Animal Science
5th place: Josef Kunhart, M.Sc. (Department of Systems Engineering) – ERIES Journal
The award was presented by Prof. Lukáš Čechura, Ph.D., Dean of FEM CZU in Prague. The award was accepted on behalf of Josef Kunhart by his advisor, Assoc. Prof. Jan Bartoška, Ph.D.
The next part of the meeting featured the habilitation proceedings of Vladan Hruška, Ph.D. (UJEP in Ústí nad Labem) and Lukáš Moravec, Ph.D. (KOF, FEM CZU in Prague). The FEM Scientific Board evaluated the level of the candidates’ quantitative criteria, teaching, publishing, and other creative activities, as well as their habilitation lectures and presentations of their habilitation theses.
Subsequently, the Scientific Board of FEM approved the proposal to appoint Vladan Hruška, Ph.D., as associate professor in the field of Regional and Social Development, and Lukáš Moravec, Ph.D., as associate professor in the field of Business and Sectoral Economics.
