Recognition of subjects is handled at FEM upon arrival, once you have received your Transcript of Records (ToR) from your partner university.
At FEM we distinguish between FSE (Final State Exam) subjects and Non-FSE subjects. This means that for the subjects listed in the files "Statnicove predmety_FSE subjects_Bachelor" and "Statnicove predmety_FSE subjects_Master", please follow section below 10.1 to obtain the guarantor´s consent for the recognition of FSE subjects. The remaining subjects in your study plan (Non-FSE subjects) - not listed in the files - may be recognised based on any subjects successfully completed at the host university, provided they fall within the scope of your FEM study programme (regardless of the similarity of the subject syllabi).
The guarantor's consent for the recognition of credits and examinations for FSE subjects may be obtained either before or during your mobility by submitting a request in UIS › Contact Centre › PEF International Relations Office › Request for the guarantor's consent for the recognition of the FSE subjects. Upload the syllabus of the corresponding subject completed at the host university to enable the relevant guarantor to assess the similarity of the subjects.
Upon return and after receiving your ToR, you are required to submit "Žádost o uznání předmětů studovaných v zahraničí_Request for the recognition of the subjects studied during the mobility” electronically in Word to pefoutgoing@pef.czu.cz.
The submitted request will be reviewed by the faculty coordinator and the Vice-Dean for International Relations will record the recommended recognition result. The request will then be forwarded to you and your Student Affairs Officer, who, after approval by the Vice-Dean for Teaching and Learning, will enter the recognized subjects in the UIS according to their placement in the relevant semester and year of your study plan.
Note: You can also get recognised foreign subjects beyond your programme curriculum as electives in this way by writing "Non-European Mobility - name of the foreign subject" in the FEM subject field.
