In the Laboratory of Mathematical Modeling and Simulation it is possible to carry out discrete computer simulations or simulations of complex socio-economic phenomena.
In addition to the analysis of simulation scenarios, "What if" analysis or, for example, the Monte Carlo method, the laboratory is sufficiently equipped to create a user interface for a management simulator. Furthermore, the laboratory has software for scientific project management and mathematical evaluation of efficiency through Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). For other problems in the field of mathematical programming, Matlab software can be used. As a complement to traditional statistical analyses, for which the University has a number of corresponding software, the laboratory has software for searching and analysing information in diverse data sources through a query language.
