About the author of the illustrations:
A graduate of the Secondary School of Applied Arts for Ceramics in Bechyně, she originally worked as a painter and ceramic designer in Czechia and Slovakia.
Later, she devoted herself to restoration and illustration at the National Museum, where she also worked on the graphic design of specialist publications. Since 2014, she has been working at the Department of Law, where she provides administrative support to the team.
However, drawing and painting have accompanied her throughout her life – from fan art inspired by the worlds of Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Discworld, to illustrations inspired by yoga and Eastern mythology.
Her work combines imagination, humor, and attention to detail.
At the exhibition, she will present a collection of illustrations for Terry Pratchett's Discworld—a series full of insight, charm, and the joy of creation.
