Since the foundation of the business incubator Point One in 2014, almost 50 teams have become its members. Many companies have succeeded in taking up a permanent position in the market. The company Envirostyl founded by Jana Půlpánová, that produces a healthy replacement for fast food – so called Japů, can be taken as an example. A number of starting up projects are also celebrating successes.
One of the most recent important successes is the victory of the company Palíto in the United Incubators Contest, which was jointly organized by the business incubators of CULS, CTU and University of Economics Prague. The team comprising of Daniel Všetečka and Martin Kheil gained the attention of the professional and spectator's jury by producing homemade chilli sauce from extra spicy peppers.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade included Hana Maryšková’s Cakeland cupcakes into the calendar for the year 2017 among 11 interesting and successful start-ups.
Honza Roubal with his project Africahop won the startup competition - Young Entrepreneur Fellowship Program organized by the American Center for Young Entrepreneurs and the US Embassy in Prague. Matyáš Dřevo and Tomáš Pokorný with their project Dogsie project gained the third place in the same competition. Their company provides dog owners with healthy meat and toys, and thinks also of animals in need.
The Point One members do not lack behind either in the IT field. Vojtěch Novák and Zdeněk Kolář from the company JoTio got the 1st prize at IQRF IoT Hackaton with their innovative design.
The mission of a business incubator is to help start-up entrepreneurs. The incubator is intended for all students and graduates of the CULS; the team must always have at least one of those. It offers services similar to most business incubators - mentoring, networking (meeting with interesting partners and experts in their fields), collaboration, help with optimization of business plans and marketing, space rental and more. Point One makes it easier to start a business. In addition, it can attract the attention of investors and media who are so much needed for start-ups.
