On 23rd February 2017, the 17th Job fair took place from 10:00 to 16:00 at the Faculty of Economics and Management where 24 companies participated. Out of these, six were from the area of taxes and audits, two from the bank sector, two insurance companies, thirteen from the business area and one from the government.
The stands were placed in the exhibition are of the FEM, where visitors could learn about doctorand studies or other activities of the faculty. An activity for the students was a game “Professional prospect” that was connected to the job fair. The competition, which was prepared by the Action Team FEM, was created based on evaluation of interests of students in individual companies. After the completion of the competition there was an announcement of winners and the dean of the faculty Ing. Martin Pelikán, Ph.D., together with the vice-dean PhDr. Rymešovou, Ph.D. and doc. Mgr. Bobkovou gave out prizes to active participants of the fair. The main prize was a digital camera Polaroid Cube. The job fair was of great interest to the students - an estimate of the fair attendance is over 1,500 students.
In a reserved area of the fair there was a pilot presentation of 3D technology of the HUBRU laboratory – a virtual stand of FEM was created. To view the virtual reality "HTC vive" glasses were used. The whole presentation was created in cooperation with the company "Solirax“ and a software tool under development "NEOS VR", on which the whole application was running. For the creation of the models there was a 3D graphic software named "Blender" used and smaller objects were scanned by a 3D scanner from the company "Structure".
At the end, you can look at a short video from the Job fair FEM 2017.
