PEREX BeeBridge connects generations of beekeepers and develops modern educational resources for their future.
Project description / abstract
The BeeBridge – Strengthen of the Beekeepers Generation Bridging project responds to the need to transfer knowledge and experience between generations of beekeepers while modernising vocational education and training in the field of beekeeping.
The project aims to develop and update educational content for both inexperienced and experienced beekeepers and to encourage more young people to become involved in beekeeping. BeeBridge builds on the previous BeeGen initiative and further develops its results by introducing new topics, modern educational approaches and audio-visual learning materials.
The main project outputs will include updated curricula and training materials for inexperienced and experienced beekeepers, educational videos, expert podcasts and a handbook for establishing a model educational apiary. The project will also include pilot testing of the developed materials and the establishment of three micro-educational apiaries.
The partnership consists of seven organisations from Poland, Czechia, Spain, Lithuania, Estonia and Türkiye. The Czech University of Life Sciences Prague contributes to the development of educational content and to activities related to the model educational apiary.
