To successfully enroll in the Overseas programme, students must first apply through is.czu.cz and go through the admission interview. The first call of admission interview for the Non-European student mobility in the academic year 2024/2025 will take place on 4 - 7 March 2024 in the form of online interviews via MS Teams.
The applications themselves are open for the period: 1 December 2023 – 15 February 2024.
Before submitting their application students must find out the following:
- Select the university, at which they want to study
- Check the language of instruction at the foreign institution
- If required, bring the language certificate to the admission interview
- Check the offer of subjects at the foreign institution. Ask yourself questions: Do the subjects correspond to the level of your studies, direction, skills and abilities? Is it possible to register the selected subjects for 30 ECTS credits?
- Calculate how much money you will need for studies abroad, will you have enough financial means available?
The application must include the following documents – a structured CV and Motivation letter (in English). They are submitted online (in PDF) via is.czu.cz. In the motivation letter the students have to justify the selection of the university (e.g. selected academic subjects, contribution to the final thesis, acquainting oneself with the local culture, the language being taught etc.). Due to the limited number of placings at each university it is recommended that students select additional university.
Within the Framework of mobility outside EU, some partner universities require additional documents, e.g. a letter of recommendation or medical report. Students must find what are the other documents are required by the foreign institution and what process is used for enrolling at the foreign institution. Correct and early submission of these documents is necessary for acceptance by the host university.
Admission Interviews
On the basis of their application students are invited for the admission interview, which normally takes place in February, for SDSU in January. Admission interviews will be individual and students will be informed about their schedule via email.
CV, motivation letter (in English) and the proposed study plan for the partner university must be submitted by students to the admission interview in the printed form. During the interview students will be asked what they had discovered about the partner university (especially the study programme), what is their motivation for the mobility abroad etc.
Some partner universities require language certificates which must be submitted by students to the admission interview. It is therefore necessary to check what the universities abroad require and whether the students fullfil the requirements. You will find links of individual universities on section Partner Universities.
