You may begin gathering your documents as soon as possible. However, the internal evaluation of foreign education can only begin after you pass the entrance examination and are accepted to a study programme at the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM). Once admitted you will receive more information about the process via e-mail. Keep checking your junk folder. Only then, you can start with evaluation.
Frequently Asked Questions
The evaluation fee (900 CZK) is paid after admission and nomination by the faculty. You must pay in your UIS account. The evaluation will not start until the fee is paid. The fee is non-refundable.
Yes, documents must be submitted in hard copies by post or courier service (DHL, FedEx, etc.). Electronic submissions are not accepted. Do not submit any documents electronically via UIS account. Partial exceptions apply for documents issued in the EU, United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand – see the article Authentication of Documents
Documents in English or Czech do not need additional translation.
Documents in other language must be firmly bound together with official translations into English or Czech prepared by a sworn translator.
Only authorized sworn translators are accepted. All parts of your documents must be in English or Czech, including translator and notary clauses and stamps.

English translators: Unfortunately, there is no comprehensive website with English sworn translators, you must make sure that the translator has a valid stamp and licence. Be careful to use translation agencies.

Applicants for bachelor’s programmes must provide an eligibility statement from their secondary school confirming:
- the school is accredited by a recognized authority (state, municipality, etc.),
- whether it is public or private, and
- that it grants eligibility to enter a bachelor’s programme in its home country.
You may use the official form provided by CZU after you are accepted. We send it in the information e-mail. You school can also re-write it but must use the same information. If not written in English, official translation is required.
In case of private High school – licence is often required as well.
The process starts only when:
- all required documents are physically received by the Internal Evaluation Office, and
- the evaluation fee is paid.
You will receive an email confirmation when your documents are passed to the committee.
After that the process usually takes 2–8 weeks after all documents and the fee are received. During the summer period, processing may take longer due to a high number of applications.
The internal evaluation is valid only for the specific programme and academic year in which it was issued. If you apply for another programme or a later intake, a new evaluation is required.
No, according to Czech educational law, recognized foreign education is required for registration, either through internal evaluation or nostrification. Start the process early to avoid missing registration deadlines.
No, the evaluation can only assess completed education. If your final exams or degree are pending, the process cannot begin.
