From 10 to 14 August 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague welcomed former participants and coordinators of summer schools from The Ohio State University and the University of Missouri. Some alumni returned to the faculty 20, 25, or even 30 years after taking part in the summer school. Representatives of CZU and its former students also joined the gathering. Among the participants was Thomas L. Payne, one of the founders of the programme.
During their stay, the guests visited newly developed parts of CZU and learned how the university has changed since their previous visits. The programme also included a walk-through historic Prague and a visit to the university's winery. These shared experiences provided an opportunity for informal conversations and for reminiscing about the time when the participants first met during the summer school.
The gathering offered an opportunity to renew personal connections and discuss possibilities for future cooperation. One of the topics was the potential renewal of cooperation with The Ohio State University in the field of summer schools and other joint activities.
